Getting here:
Directions from the 3 ferry terminals to the Happinest Cottage:
If traveling from Vesuvius (Crofton, Vancouver Island):
1.Travel on Vesuvius Bay Road - go 3.5km 2. Turn right on Lower Ganges Rd - go 3.7km 3. Bear Right on Fulford-Ganges Rd - go 1.6km up Ganges Hill 4. Bear Right on Cranberry Rd (following signs to Mount Maxwell) - go 1.3 km 5. Arrive at 380 Cranberry Road - Turn right before our Sign (right across from Blackburn Rd) 6. At the top of the hill either park in the pullout or turn left up to the cabin (there is a parking spot at the top of the driveway if you feel comfortable driving up).
If traveling from Fulford (Swartz Bay/ Victoria, Vancouver Island):
1. Travel on the Fulford-Ganges Rd 1.3 Km 2. Turn right on the Fulford-Ganges Rd (at the Fulford Pub) and travel 11 Km 3. Turn (hard) left on Cranberry Rd (following the signs to Mt. Maxwell) go 1.3Km 4. Arrive at the Happinest 380 Cranberry Rd (across from Blackburn Rd. 5. Turn right before our sign 6. At the top of the hill either park in the pullout or turn left up to the cabin (there is a parking spot at the top of the driveway if you feel comfortable driving up).
If travelling from Long Harbour (Tssawwassen Ferry Terminal South of Vancouver):
1. Travel on Long Harbour Rd - go 4.5Km 2. Turn left on Upper Ganges Rd - go 0.9Km 3. Turn left on Lower Ganges Rd - go 0.7Km 4. Bear right on Fulford-Ganges Rd - go 1.6Km up Ganges Hill. 5. Bear right at Cranberry just at the crest of the hill (following the signs to Mt.Maxwell) - go 1.3Km 6. Arrive at the Happinest 380 Cranberry Rd (across from Blackburn Rd.) 7. Turn right before our sign 8. At the top of the hill either park in the pullout or turn left up to the cabin (there is a parking spot at the top of the driveway if you feel comfortable driving up).
Driving: There are three direct ferry routes, two from Vancouver Island, and one from Vancouver. In addition, there is a ferry service from Seattle, WA and Port Angeles, WA.
